Best For Last - 6 game sweep
One might wonder if Vanessa Williams was at Herget last night because the 6th grade volleyball team saved their best for last as they took 6 out of 6 games from Herget. The red team took 3 games from Herget by scores of 25-10, 25-18, and 25-9. Serving was the key as Mariah Brown, Heather Snyder, and Lindsay Muth all served up 6 points each in the first game, while Jessica Raymundo served up 4 in the second game and 5 points in the third game. Muth also added 7 service points in the third game. Other key contributors were Steph Lawrence, Kaylee Gramly and Jaime Tomkowiak.
The blue team also took 3 games from Herget by scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 25-20. Jordyn Poppen made it rain in the first game pouring in 10 service points. Alexis Perez and Anna Soto led the way in the second game with 6 and 4 service points each. Erica Ramos and Emma Hicks served up 7 points in the final game which came down to the wire. Other contributors to the blue team victory last night included Joey Laurx, Alex Wilkin, and Carolina Rincon. Great job ladies and good luck next year!
A reminder to the 6th grade girls volleyball team that the pizza party is this Thursday from 3:45-4:45 in the cafeteria. Make sure you bring your $2 and turn your jerseys in!
