JEFFERSON

Washington Vs Jefferson

The 6th grade volleyball team is finishing up the season the hard way. They finish with 2 matches on the road, the first of which was played this past Friday at Jefferson. The blue team won their first game 25-12, but then dropped their next 2 by scores of 13-25 and 9-15. Emma Hicks and Anna Soto led the way in the victory combining for 9 service points. Gigi Montalvo and Fabiola Diaz tried hard to bring the Generals back with their serving in the final 2 games but it wasn't enough to defeat the Jayhawks.

The red team gave fans their entertainment value by being down 8 points in the first game to come back and ultimately lose 25-23. Libby Wiet tried to give the Generals a victory by racking up an amazing 10 service points including 6 aces. The Generals came back swinging in the second game by sending it into overtime and winning by a score of 27-25. Jessica Raymundo brought out her overhand serve for the first time this season and matched Libby's 10 service points. Heather Snyder and Lindsay Muth also contributed to the Generals victory. The girls play their last match of the season at Herget tonight. Good luck girls!
